THE ST.IVES LIFEBOATS

There has been a lifeboat stationed at St.Ives since 1840. James Stevens No10 was the 5th lifeboat stationed at St.Ives and was on service from 1900 to 1933, making her the longest serving lifeboat at St.Ives so far. Now that her restoration is complete, she is the oldest and longest serving lifeboat still afloat. It is great to see her afloat in the harbour again after all these years and she will now be offering historic and educational boat trips around St.Ives Bay. Come aboard and learn about the amazing history of this lifeboat.
